Format: Magic™ 2010 Limited Participation Fee: $40 Grand Prix Boston will feed Pro Tour Austin Registration and Schedule Friday, July 31st: Registration from 2 PM to 11PM. Saturday, Aug 1st: Registration from 7 AM to 9 AM. Saturday, Aug 1st: Tournament begins at 9:30 AM. Sunday, Aug 2nd: Day Two begins at 9 AM. Day 1: Magic™ 2010 Sealed. Day 2: Magic™ 2010 Draft. Tournament Structure Modified Swiss-style (50-minute rounds). Rules Enforcement Level (REL) is Competitive (Day 1) and Professional (Day 2). If 799 or fewer players register for the event, all players with an X-2-0 record (or better) or the top 64 players — whichever is greater — will advance to the second day of competition for prizes and invitations. If 800 or more players register for the event, all players with an X-2-0 record (or better) or the top 128 players — whichever is greater — will advance to the second day of competition for prizes and invitations. The top 8 players after the final Swiss round on Day 2 will advance to the Top 8 single-elimination finals. Top 8 matches will be best 2 of 3. Top 8 matches will have no time limit. Where necessary, the standings after the Swiss rounds will be used to determine final order in the standings. Prizes. All prizes in US dollars. Top 16 also earn invites to PT Austin. Other Grand Prix–Boston Trials will be run throughout North America in the weeks leading up to the Grand Prix. Each offers at least 1 Third-Round bye to Grand Prix–Boston.   Tournament Byes Byes will be given to players in the Grand Prix based on the following criteria.   Third-Round Byes Players with a Players Club level of 4 or higher. Players with a DCI Total rating of 2050 or higher. Byes are based on DCI Total ratings published on July 29, 2009. Players with a DCI Limited rating of 2000 or higher. Byes are based on DCI Constructed ratings published on July 29, 2009. Winners of Grand Prix–Los Angeles Trial tournaments. Second-Round Byes Players with a Players Club level of 2 or 3 Players with a DCI Total rating of 1950 or higher. Byes are based on DCI Total ratings published on July 29, 2009. Players with a DCI Limited rating of 1900 or higher. Byes are based on DCI Constructed ratings published on, 2009. Trial winners People who win a Trial event are awarded 3 byes in the Grand Prix that it feeds. [Dungeons & Dragons 4e] Village of Hommlet

Your Move Games: Davis Square Store 389 Highland Avenue, Somerville, MA 02144 Sunday, June 28th, 2009. 1pm start. $7 entry. This adventure, originally published in 1979 and written by Gary Gygax himself, has been updated for the latest edition of Dungeons & Dragons. The module will be run in its entirety, and is expected to last all day. (A break will be taken for dinner roughly halfway through the adventure.) This event is intended for experienced players, using the following guidelines: each player must bring a completed character sheet representing a character of 4th level. Any published 4E material is legal, though players must have a printed copy of any rules they intend to use. Characters may have up to three magic items — one each of 5th, 4th, and 3rd level — and up to 680 gp of additional magic items, ordinary equipment, or rituals. Because of time constraints, we cannot accommodate players who do not arrive with a completed character sheet. Dice and miniatures will be provided, though players are welcome to bring their own.
